Use Plot in Cursor
Add the Plot MCP server to Cursor so its agent can read tasks, update status, and leave progress comments in Plot.
Connect Plot to Cursor so its agent works from your real tasks. The agent can read a task before it starts, update its status, leave progress comments, and save plans as Plot documents.
Before you start
You need:
- Cursor installed and up to date.
- A Plot account with access to the workspace you want to connect.
Add Plot to Cursor
-
Open
~/.cursor/mcp.jsonfor all projects, or.cursor/mcp.jsonfor one project. Create the file if it doesn't exist. -
Add the Plot server:
{ "mcpServers": { "plot": { "url": "https://mcp.plot.app/mcp" } } } -
Open Cursor Settings > Tools & MCP.
-
Select Connect next to Plot.
-
In the Plot window, sign in, choose your workspace, and select Authorize.
