Sidebar and lifecycle

Control sidebar visibility, area templates, trash, archive, and membership.

Show or hide an area in the sidebar

Open Area options, then select Hide from sidebar.

This change only affects your sidebar. Other members keep their own area visibility and order.

Open Areas in the Workspace section of the sidebar to find the area again. Show it in the sidebar when you need regular access.

Manage area templates

Open Area options, then select Templates.

The template library has separate Tasks and Projects tabs. Search, reorder, create, edit, duplicate, or delete templates there.

Area templates use area statuses, labels, and member options. An area project template can also appear in other selected areas.

Read the templates guide to build reusable client workflows and automated project schedules.

Use the area trash

Open Area options, then select Trash.

Trash holds deleted tasks, documents, and templates for seven days. Restore an item before its retention period ends.

Archive or leave an area

Select Archive area when the area no longer needs active work.

Archiving hides the area and archives its tasks, projects, documents, files, and templates. Restore it from Areas in the Workspace section.

Select Leave to remove your own membership. You will lose access to private area content.
